About Flymundus
Flymundus is a flight metasearch site. We compare fares across hundreds of airlines and travel agencies, show you the cheapest, and hand you off to whoever is selling it.
What this site does
You search a route. We compare live fares from hundreds of airlines and online travel agencies at once, and show you what each is charging. When you pick one, you book on that provider's own site — Flymundus never takes your payment, holds your card details or issues your ticket.
We add nothing to the price. The fare you see is the fare the provider is offering; there is no Flymundus booking fee or markup.
Where the prices come from
Live fares come from our third-party search partners, who aggregate inventory from airlines and travel agencies worldwide. The same data powers the search results you see after clicking through.
The prices shown on our route and destination pages are different: those are fares we have recorded ourselves over time, refreshed on a schedule, and stored so we can show you things a live search cannot — like which month of the year is cheapest on a given route. They are historical observations, clearly labelled with when they were last checked, and they are not a quote. Only a live search tells you what a seat costs today.
How we make money
Flymundus earns a commission when someone books after clicking through from our site. That commission is paid by the travel provider out of their own margin — it is not added to your fare, and you pay exactly what you would pay going to that provider directly.
This is worth being blunt about, because it shapes what you should trust here. We are paid on bookings, so we have an interest in you booking something. We do not have an interest in you booking any particular provider, and the results are not ordered by what pays us most. See our terms for the formal disclosure.
What we do differently
Most flight-deal sites generate a page for every city pair they can name, whether or not they know anything about that route. Ask for a route that does not exist and you get a confident, empty page anyway.
A Flymundus route page only exists once we have real fare data for it. If we have not recorded a price for a route, the page returns a genuine 404 rather than a template with two city names dropped into it. That means we have fewer pages than we could have. It also means a page that exists has something true on it.
